Introduction to Dynamical Systems
Introduction to Dynamical Systems
The course will provide an introduction to the fascinating field of dynamical systems, nonlinear and chaotic dynamics. The course will cover the basic concepts, mathematical and conceptual techniques required to understand and analyze nonlinear phenomena as they arise in a multitude of fields, physics, biology, ecology, chemistry an engineering. The course will be based upon the concepts covered in the book by Steve Strogatz - Nonlinear dynamics and chaos.
Prerequisites:
Undergraduate courses in differential equations, linear algebra, multivariate calculus and familiarity with Matlab or similar programming and visualization software. For more information ask the Instructor.
